Forged from the matter of a glowing star by the dwarves from afar
The mighty hammer of the skies, wielded by the hand of Thor

Raise your swords to fight once more
And into battle, follow Thor
All enslaved, and they await
To be saved from their grave fate
Crumbling skies and fiery ground
Battles break out all around
Odin’s son rides to the fight
And with him follows Mjolnir’s might

They came and killed all in their way and turned to night what was once day
The Draugr army from Niflheim rode up to Midgard in search of prey
God of thunder in the skies lifts his hammer so up high
He rides upon his chariot and ever onwards into the fight

[Narration]
Thor heard the cries of his people below, rode down upon his chariot of gold, and descended upon the realm of Midgard. He arrived only to find wreckage, bloodshed, and despair. The army of the undead, summoned by Loki himself, destroyed all in its path.
With little hope left to save what remained of the realm, Odin’s son raised his grand star-forged hammer into the air, and drove it into the ground with all his might, destroying all evils throughout Midgard. All in the realm were free at last.
With one last look around, he pointed Mjolnir above, and ascended into the sky.

This might be my favourite of Heilung. They've improved a bit on their later releases but their debut is still much meaner, and darker. Maria's amazing voice obviously steals the show but I also quite like Kai's too, especially on the live performance. In fact I'd say get LIFA over this IMO. The spoken word bits are really cool to hear proto-germanic in use but for relistening purposes they are going to be a bit obtrusive. Nevertheless the proper music here is on continual repeat for me.
